Transilvania Quantum

A software quantum computing company.

August 8th, 2024 - We are excited to announce that, together with Bitdefender, we have released at Black Hat USA 2024 a white paper which documents the first comprehensive study on the security of quantum computers and quantum computing in the NISQ era.

October 7th, 2023 - Transilvania Quantum has started a collaboration with Bitdefender for investigating the implications of quantum computers for cybersecurity with a focus on the security of quantum computation.

July 25th, 2023 - We have received a microgrant from Unitary Fund for continuing the development of lambdaQ, a new functional programming language for quantum computing. Our plan for the language is to take it to the level where it will be compiled into OpenQASM which is a widely used intermediate representation (IR) for quantum code. Eventually, in a slightly more distant future, lambdaQ will be compiled into Quantum Intermediate Representation (QIR) which will enable full interoperability with multiple quantum hardware providers.

May 1'st, 2023 - Transilvania Quantum was selected by TDIH to be part of the first program for digitalization and innovation to be implemented during May 2023 - May 2024. In collaboration with TDIH, the INCDTIM research institute in Cluj-Napoca will provide Transilvania Quantum engineers with hands-on training on the practical aspects of quantum communications. Furthermore, with support from our partners at INCDTIM, we will begin a preliminary investigation into using NMR technologies to build a quantum repeater. Quantum repeaters are essential in order for the future quantum internet to work using the fiber optics technology used by the classic internet. Needless to say, this is an ambitious ambitious endeavor but we are all excited having started the work on this project.
